Supervision
Throughout the year-long program, candidates meet one-on-one with a Master
Coach who supervises their work with coaching clients. Regular sessions
focus on the unique developmental goals of each candidate. Candidates learn
the coaching frameworks and techniques they need to effectively think through
and solve business issues with their clients.

Action
Learning
Candidates meet together with
program faculty at quarterly group seminars to practice specific skills
as well as to discuss theories, research findings and the practical issues
they are facing. In addition, candidates analyze case studies and strategic
issues affecting leadership and specific projects within their organizations.
Candidates are grouped into teams to support each other and create a learning
community. These teams are connected via a state-of-the-art electronic network
specially designed for the program.

Reflection
Program faculty serve as advisors
for candidates to guide them in reflecting on what and how they are learning,
as well as the personal and cultural values/assumptions that influence success
within their organizations. Advisors also provide resources and counsel
for candidates to help them conduct research, finalize their theses and
meet university requirements.
|
|
| |
Research
Each candidate conducts a research
project to address a current issue within his or her organization. The focus
may be a new product, process, structural change or program the organization
needs to implement. Employers must approve research projects and receive
a presentation of the candidate’s final thesis. The thesis demonstrates
the breadth and depth of the candidate’s learning, including their
ability to constructively analyze and apply research methodologies to evaluate
and increase the effectiveness of organizational programs.
